Explain options to customers in plain English
Customers say yes faster when they understand their options. A simple good / better / best comparison — in plain words — often lifts the job value too.
What you'll need
- The two or three options you'd actually offer
- Rough prices for each
- A free AI app
Step 1: Write the options in your own shorthand
E.g. 'A: repair valve $280. B: new 180L mains cylinder $2.6k. C: heat pump HWC $5.5k, cheaper to run.'
Step 2: Ask AI to explain them
Copy this prompt and fill in the [square brackets]:
Explain these options to a homeowner in plain English, no jargon, under 150 words. Use a short table: Option, What you get, Price, Good for. Then one sentence on what I'd recommend and why: [my recommendation]. Options: [paste]. Use only my prices.
Step 3: Check the facts
Make sure running costs, warranties and lifespans are what you'd actually say. Delete anything AI made up.
Step 4: Send with your quote
Add it to the top of your quote email or text it with photos.
